After the wars of Rome, the History Channel in collaboration with Slitherine Software back in the world of real-time strategy, dealing with a crucial period in European history, but nevertheless little treatment in terms of gaming, this time on our main computer we can revive the long and bloody War One Hundred Years, which opposed for over a century France and England at the turn of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. After the war was born the first draft of the future Europe, you also want to be protagonists of the event?

One Hundred Years of War
The so-called Hundred Years’ War began in 1334 when, extinguished the dynasty of Capet, the French throne was contested by Philip of Valois and King Edward III, who was the legitimate heir. The French nobility, however, supported the first, who became King of France, sparking the ire of the second, which invaded the country to assert their rights. It was a time when the French state as we know it today did not exist, and England possessed fiefs in large portions of what would become France. Conflicts between brief moments of respite and the clash lasted until 1453.
The importance of this conflict is manifold, and many historians today see you out along the European Middle Ages. Certainly the idea of war was finally overcome romantic, based on a concept of honor that was also extended on the battlefield, made their appearance first professional armies, the English archers determined the course of many battles and debuted the first, rudimentary firearms, while the heavy cavalry, which until then had dominated European conflicts, stagnate. Also appeared in the figures which have become legend, like Joan of Arc and the Black Prince

Vive la France
Title Slitherine is a real-time strategy that places the player alternately in the role of British and French armies at different times of the ancient conflict, alternating some historical battles in numerous minor clashes, which serve the player to accumulate experience and resources. You need not worry about other things, the progression of events following that handed down by history, the only thing required is to win the battles to control up to twenty different units between infantry, cavalry and archers.
The first thing to do if you exceed the brief tutorial, you choose from a series of campaigns of increasing difficulty. Then it is transported on a map of France in the fourteenth century, on which are indicated the places of interest, some of them are selectable and give away the underlying event, which completed you unlock the next. There are also some secret, unlockable only after completing certain objectives. Most conflicts are minor and can even be tackled more times their presence is essential in the economy of the game, because each victory brings experience to our troops, making them more reliable, and resources to be spent to recruit new units.
Before you get on the battlefield you can access the camp, where we find some customization options (clothing and symbols of the unity of our army). At the same we can also observe the progress of our units, recruit and lead their new equipment, is a very important session, which occupies a good part of playing time. Each unit we may be equipment that the characteristics that distinguish it. We may decide to provide such units of archers also use spears as secondary weapon, to give way to resist cavalry charges, or rather to shield and sword, making them competitive even as infantry units, so even releasing their skills. More advances in the game more options become available, allowing a substantial customization of your army: the important thing is to have enough money and skill points to acquire power-ups that affect. Paradoxically this potentially intriguing system is being undermined by the need to revisited many times the same battles in order to increase enough to overcome the decisive battles, those that allow the progress of history. It ‘a system a bit’ recalls the long periods of level-up RPG, where movement is blocked by the need to strengthen their characters enough to overcome the end-level boss. As rapid progress in, addressing several times the same battles soon becomes very tedious task.
Besides this there is a support system embodied in special cards used in battle, but we will speak in the next section.

God Save the King
Once ready to fight not just have to choose one of the locations you want and get off the field: we expect some 70 battles, including 26 historical battles of the Hundred Years War (as Orlean and Crecy). It ‘easy to distinguish between decisive battles or optional, because the former have much more substantial descriptions of seconds. Moreover, while a generic battle can often be repeated several times, the decisive ones above are unique and advancement of the story, which makes available new scenarios.
To overcome any stage should achieve the requested, which can sometimes be simply defeat all the enemies on the ground, sometimes to catch a load, take a village to resist a cavalry charge and so forth.
The game allows you to deploy infantry, cavalry, archers and crossbowmen as well as some rudimentary guns. Each unit moves individually in the field (divided into the classic square grid, although the plot is hidden) and is freely controllable by the player: the course of the game is to place them and guide them as efficiently as possible in order to outweigh opponents: for this purpose is permitted to maintain unity in the preferred position within a predefined grid before starting the clash. In some situations, some allied units are also moved by the CPU, and in these cases the key to victory lies in the ability to move in harmony with them and support them properly.
At any time of the battle you can put the game on pause, move or to order attacks, as well as the attitude of the various units (aggressive, defensive, neutral) when ready, just press a button and the battle back in time real.
Obviously, depending on your predisposition, various units have weaknesses and strengths that will be taken into account. And so that units with shields large and unwieldy to resist good volleys of arrows, but will be vulnerable against opponents more agile and light, while a station mortars will be lethal if it were addressed frontally, but it is easy to circumvent, and so on. Compared to standard units is that of the General, leading the field in our party: although they fight like the others, this unit has much greater importance, because its mere presence creates confidence to the troops. Just for example complement a unit engaged in this battle because it gains moral, and a general down, although by no means the only defeat, will the troops under his command more likely to flee if things turn for the worse .
The outcome of the fighting is also influenced by the use of special notice cards, the player can carry around in limited numbers before each battle, these cards temporarily affect some features of the troops which are used, allied or enemy, or even change the battlefield, and can be decisive if used at the right time. And ‘possible calarle once during a battle, then intuition and timing are essential: their purpose is to simulate those that happen during a chance encounter, often influencing the point that determine the outcome.

One hundred years in a minute
Although the strategic aspect described above may seem in line with other similar products, the final yield is not fully convincing, crucially undermining the credibility and usability of the whole.
The biggest problem is the small size of maps and the speed with which the battles take place, almost all ends in a few minutes. The maps are not very big, so once the conflict began almost immediately drives come in contact, leaving little space for operation beyond the initial deployment. Usually there’s hardly time to start browsing the enemy are upon us and continue to attack until all units on the map are not put to flight. The impression is that they have little control over the situation and the final victory would affect more the number of troops that you have and their training rather than tactical approach adopted. With some exceptions, the initial deployment is also very clustered, making it difficult for units to post any circumvention or tactical alternatives. Moreover, the opponents always act the same way, then addressed a battle for the second time no longer stimuli, as we know already the tactics of the enemy: the only skill required to do so will find the best countermeasure to enemy units. The cavalry charge comes from the left? Just put there the Lancers. The armored infantry always tries to break in the middle? Just remember to reinforce it properly.

Graphics medieval
Even the technical sector is very subdued: the scenarios are bare, the poor texture, the level of detail of troops rough, rigid movements. At the most graphic detail the returns a glance overview always very poor, so as to put it mildly Spartans are the menus. If nothing else, the low hardware demands let you play the title Slitherine with older computers.
The standard view is a bird and allows for a discreet glance on the battlefield, freely explorable with the arrow keys and easy to grasp through a mini-map indicating the disposition of enemy and friendly units: No surprises, then , no fog of war to conceal the movements of enemies. It ‘may be possible to bring the visual to graze the land, if you want a closer look at the troops.
Collaboration with the History Channel reveals itself in moments before the historic battles when the movie is a quick explanation that mixes documentary footage from the issuer in sequences created with the graphics of the game but the video resolution is rather low, the colors desaturated and the difference between movies and computer graphics to tell the poor little jarring. Furthermore the information provided is too succinct, would be a better sort of narrative context that go on, battle after battle, until the natural conclusion of the events. If nothing else the sound is localized in Italian, for a perfect understanding of everything. To complete the appearance of discussion include the inevitable sound medievaleggiante dance music accompanying the action nicely, as the navigation between the various game menu.
The longevity benefit from the presence of three campaigns of increasing difficulty, as well as an online mode in which to deal with other human players, hosting a game or joining a session created by others, in fighting against a rigid one. On completion of all signal the presence of an editor that allows you to create your own custom army, for use in online battles, in which case the available resources are predetermined, so as to ensure equal opportunities for all contenders. Also by registering the game online you can share their statistics with those of other players.

Multiplayer
To play online enough Medieval History Great Battles a registered copy of the game and an ADSL connection

Hardware
Windows ® XP / Vista
Pentium 4 or equivalent
512MB RAM (XP) or 1GB RAM (Vista)
DirectX video card 128Mb
DVD ROM Drive (not required for Digital Delivery version)
DirectX compatible sound card
DirectX 9.0c (included in installation file)

On balance this is a Medieval History Great Battles title discreet, passionate but not what could and should. While the historical reconstruction is accurate and movies dell’History Channel add that item learning generally absent in other similar products, the other the poor technical quality and yield of battles involving little too repetitive and boring in the long run risk the player.
A product for fans only.

Developers EXOR Studios launched with their first project payment distributed by Digital Download platform Steam. Leaving behind the puzzle game created for social networks by cartoony graphics are thrown into a more dark and mature with Zombie Driver action driving game that is based primarily on two titles that did rage in the nineties: the original GTA and Carmageddon. Since first taking a top view and control system of means, the second all the violence and blood at the time led to what happened under such a stir.

Zombies are not enough
In Zombie Drivers will be the only survivor with a means of transportation in a city overrun by zombies and completely closed in quarantine. The army is powerless before this epidemic and before nuclearized the town will ask you to save a few survivors holed up in various buildings scattered around the game map. As a good and honest citizens who are not sure you can escape from bringing aid to the needy, deciding to accommodate requests for assistance and endanger your own lives to save those of others. Driving your car through the streets infested city you get the points indicated and take people barricaded before the zombies manage to break through barricades and make a nice banquet. The indicators on the screen edge you will mark the way forward, distance and time remaining to complete the mission before its bankruptcy. To complicate life, there will be only the undead seeking to block the road: Although only a zombie does not create any problem, the masses of walking corpses that are opposite opinions in danger of stopping the vehicle you are driving with the consequent destruction it, causing your premature demise. In addition to the main objectives each mission also offers sub-missions that will require you to make such a clean sweep in an area infested or return to base within a time limit. That way you can earn the money necessary to make new weaponry and improvements for your vehicles, or even receive in the event of new special events. Will leave it only with your yellow cab but gradually the main story will be delivered will develop new means of transport, allowing you to develop a final fleet consists of seven vehicles. Every car with the three core values that set and speed, and armor piercing power: up to you to modify them to fit the best way to deal with your missions, you then decide to stake everything on speed to dodge obstacles or choose to lock up your vehicle to ensure that steps zombie like a hot knife through butter. The other key element in the choice of means is certainly its capacity, a normal car can carry up to four passengers while the ambulance or limousine it can carry up to six. Just get the bus but your doubts will vanish as a tool to use, because this zombie-massacre on wheels will undoubtedly show your favorite metal. Terribly slow and unmanageable through the narrow lanes, but has the strength and ability to break through the highest among all vehicles and can carry up to forty people at once (as many civilian mission is seen in a twelve elements) which will ensure a single round to collect all the hostages, thus making up the top speed and also allowing you to complete missions in a short time. As you advance in levels will also increase the types of zombies to deal with, because there are five varieties: those of normal dogs, those capable of launching cans or other objects and robust ones that slow down your ride. However none of them manage to get seriously in trouble and you should therefore pay attention to only real threat in the game, represented by huge zombie explosives, which erupt once you reach seriously damaging and killing all nearby. To avoid hitting you, the Army also will provide arms to be mounted on vehicles, so you can rely on a valuable arsenal will include heavy machine guns, a rocket launcher, a flamethrower and a powerful laser capable of killing dozens of zombies at once. You will be able to reinforce all these weapons in your garage for three levels in order to increase the capacity to give or get a higher volume of fire, even if a mission can only use one at a time. Scattered around the city there are various bonuses fact necessary to choose the equipment to be used to reload ammunition and also you will find special power-ups that will guarantee the nitro to go faster for short or instant repairs for the vehicle. The total longevity of the title stands on six hours of play total, the campaign unfolds in 17 main missions of the overall total duration of four hours. And ‘Slaughter also present mode in which you survive zombie attacks more and more in particular areas of the board, relying only on your ability to pilot equipment and the few that appear between a wave and another.

A zombie, five pieces
The graphics engine used by Zombie Driver is the well-known open source Ogre 3D graphics is clean and is as detailed models of cars that the zombies, making it pleasant to see. Splatter lovers become involved by trails of blood left on the tires and scraps of zombie splattering everywhere, although unfortunately the thirst for destruction will stop here. Except for a few elements of the scenario, such as benches and wooden fences, most of the rest of the city will be indestructible. Bouncing off buildings and iron barriers without even damaged while all vegetation will be crossed as if did not exist in this respect would have been preferable greater attention to detail and a greater attention to detail. Between the two cameras available, both shot from above, the fixed is the only truly enjoyable, while the other is likely to cause nausea to play much more easily than the sight of zombies to pieces on the screen. The audio does his duty only in sound effects because the music will be quickly forgotten if not completely extinguished because of their annoying repetitiveness. The control system of the vehicle is entrusted to the WASD keys, where the S key is assigned to the brake that is the reverse, for the handbrake will use the space bar and the control key or left mouse button to fire with weapons equipped. The car felt so dear: after only a few minutes of the campaign the player will have full mastery of the medium and you can have fun with drift-kill zombies and unlikely spin on the bodies, making them feel the difference especially in the corners if you are using a fast race car than a truck. Zombie Driver allows you to record your best scores and compare the charts online mode Slaughter, as well as automatically publish the achievement obtained on Facebook and Twitter, but is missing a full multiplayer mode, which would surely have secured the title most longevity. The game can fortunately enjoy some free add-ons created by fans that bring something new like the special rescue missions at night or in a town shrouded in fog, but leaving intact the main gaming system.

Final Remarks
Zombie Driver is damn funny during the first hour after the bloody boring. To be a zombie game has everything you need: nurse to be saved from the hungry undead, gallons of blood on the screen, turning cars into tanks of death with spurs and weapons and also a great final twist in the plot, Romero-style. Unfortunately the rest of the game is reduced to make the first mission seventeen times waiting to unlock some new vehicle, and nothing more. The city where the story takes place is very small and the lack of a mini-map interface will lead the player to walk the shortest route already known to him returning a nagging sense of deja vu. A game “and playing on,” that will leave willingly buy and play only hardcore fans of zombies, also saw the reduced price of 10 €.

After the success of HD console, the guys throw themselves at Gaijin Entertainment PC market more and more inflated, with the flight simulator Wings of Prey, which turns out to be nothing less than a sleek and improved version of the excellent THE -2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey. Recall that Wings of Prey is already available in digital delivery platform, Steam and YUplay, since January, but was released recently, only British territory, even in retail version. Strengthened by this second issue, we wanted to test first hand this interesting product, which is midway between a title and an arcade flight simulator “pure”.

In the skies of World War II
There are historical periods, despite being replicated systematically and not always memorable, never cease to convey strong emotions. The Second World War and its battles in the heavens are one of the most accurate background to accompany a flight simulator. Role of a pilot of the allied forces, the player must try to stop Germany’s Third Reich, which led him to retrace historic memorable moments, enhanced by evocative video documentaries of the time. But all these good intentions are to come up with the nature of the gameplay, which is particularly suited to achieve a smooth and intriguing plot narrative, relaying the story to a secondary role and merely filler. The twenty-mission campaign, however, represent only part of what the wide range of recreational Wings of Prey offers. Besides a very complete and very useful tutorial, there are a training mode, where training to fly without shooting targets to play the largest set of single and multiplayer missions. The latter proposes four types of game rather classic, ranging from simple-all and team deathmatch, situations like a slightly more articulate like capture the flag where the flag is the airfield, and a final consisting in ‘elimination of certain targets on land or air. Unfortunately, the audience has been small in numbers, but in return the service has worked without problems or lag.

A simulator for all
The gameplay can optimally in order to satisfy all types of gamers: enhancing the casual nod to veteran flight simulation hard and well. This is due to chance, already introduced by Birds of Prey, to choose three distinct types of barriers: arcade, realistic simulation. How easy to understand, the arcade mode will allow anyone with ability to tame the half wheel after a few minutes of practice without major problems. The game will prove, in fact, a kind of flight shooters, which completely lack the more technical variations, usually present in pure flight simulators, which make the simple control of the vehicle, as well as gratifying, even an ‘important component additional challenge. Unlike the other two styles of play, particularly simulation, which through the inclusion of more technical parameters, such as deadlock and wind, making the task of taming a plane more difficult. Besides this fails the whole game interface that makes it so the task of detection and avoidance of enemies far more complex. While playing in arcade mode is damn fun and all the other, experiment in the simulative version of Wings of Prey could give quite a tough and make some purists happy like that. Unfortunately, the achieved level simulation is still rather young and not very precise, especially compared to what has been done by other colleagues, we feel strongly the lack of force feedback in the joystick, and even some inaccuracies or gaps in controls. One must remember that players must bring a joystick if you want to enjoy the game system of Wings of Prey, as the combination mouse / keyboard or pads are provided and very little risk of causing no little frustration even make maneuvers easier.

On the Wings of stability
Wings of Prey brings the graphics already seen in Birds of Prey to a level even higher. Polygonal models of over 40 aircraft, all reproduced faithfully, are by far the highlight of the technical sector, while the bottoms were recreated in a credible and always fairly detailed, though flying at low altitude, shows a certain repeatability of the models used . The graphics depicting clouds and fog return a likely effect, sin, however, for coarse particle effects of fire and smoke, making the explosions just spectacular and least appreciated of the rest. Add to this stability of the graphics engine, which manages all gaming machines without requiring special or recent offering performance, maintaining a constant frame rate even more excited during the game. The audio industry is characterized by an excellent sampling of diamonds and effects, which are accompanied by appreciable military background music.

Hardware
Intel Core Duo / AMD X2 +3800 Ahtlon
RAM: 2 GB
Video Card: ATI Radeon 1800 512MB / GeForce 8400 512MB
Operating system: Windows XP / Vista / 7
Hard Disk: 6 GB
Configuration Test
Processor: Intel Quad Core 2.40 GHz
RAM: 4 GB
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Final Remarks
With its hybrid gameplay basically, Wings of Prey manages to bring a kind of niche as that of flight simulators for everyone. That’s thanks to the opportunity to test the air battles in three different modes, including arcade and realistic simulation. ‘S contention failed to fully convince as a result of a realization less precise than other simulators purest mold, but it turns out otherwise sufficiently realistic and satisfying. Fun to embellish the product we think a really good technical implementation, which also allow the computer to give more vintage men idyllic spots on the wings of polygonal models made to perfection and faithfully reproduced. Definitely recommended to all lovers of flight simulators as well as those approaching for the first time this kind and will not sacrifice too many hours of practice to master this aircraft a mammoth military WWII.

Lead on your heads and gold in your pockets. This two words could be the summary of Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West, a new third-person shooter weblog Fatshark and distributed only in digital form that goes back to the dynamics already seen in titles like Team Fortress 2 and Counter Strike but contextualised in an environment largely unexplored and highly appealing as the Wild West.

Four classes Possoni enough for me?
If you need to seek some new relief certainly you can not find the variety of classes available to us, because when entering a game we can choose between a small number only four elements. The Trapper is a classic shot: excellent long distance can easily kill with a shot on target of his rifle bison any other class but in close combat can only rely on the gun and traps by bears useful to paralyze the enemy for a while. The bomb has a considerable strength and a deadly effect in close combat, a short-barreled shotgun that can wipe out multiple enemies with a few shots and dynamite to deal with many more groups. Suffers terribly open spaces but luckily for him the maps of the game, being very different, offering different points where deadly ambush the enemy. The gunmen and another class and is skilled in close combat that can generate the largest volume of lead from wheel route against opponents, a special ability allows him to fire in bursts downloading completely shippers to get rid of his guns quickly other players without being too concerned about accuracy. The last class that we have available is that of deputy sheriff: skillful in clashes on the average length has supplied the gun with more bullets at all, a rifle recovered from ten strokes leading the field before death and to understand who where he shot. An interesting addition made by programmers is the ability for all classes of constant aura that will affect some aspects of their comrades adjacent enticing way to have a good variety between the band and a great team effort. The trapper will have such an aura useful in increasing the critical one deputy sheriff to increase the damage, the gunman that for precision bombing, and finally ensure a bonus all’armatura. Apart from gold teamwork is encouraged by the possibility for anyone to be able to raise a severely wounded comrade, shortly before his death in fact being locked down and you can still shoot the gun order hoping someone comes to your rescue.

New game old ways
Albeit with some differences caused by the environment the available modes are practically the same as those to which we have used various Battlefield and Team Fortress. Two opposing teams of five players one o’clock will therefore address in six different game types: Shooting, the classic Team Deathmatch where you have to score the highest number of killings, robbery, a team must steal a few bags of gold hidden n buildings and the opposing team must prevent this, Greed, like robbery, but here both sides will try to bring the sacks of gold in their starting point and simultaneously ensure that the other team can view. Conquest mode developed around the management of control points will reward the team that has managed to maintain for as long as possible possession of certain strategic places and finally the Barrel, where we encounter the task of blowing some buildings before time limit win the game. As under a singleplayer campaign will have the opportunity to refine our technique through the Gold Rush, which will require multiple players to cooperate to save the bags full of money had and defend against waves of enemies controlled by artificial intelligence that on fleeing. Again in all these ways encourages the team play as during transport of barrels of dynamite or bags of gold you will not either run or shoot and then we rely on our partners to make us save Pellacchia. E ‘but you can leave the bag in a hurry, get rid of an opponent and take the spoils but in most cases before being able to extract the weapon we have already killed the enemy. Respawn points for death have set in the map, but a team member will collect a special flag that will promote to captain and will be used as a mobile spawn point. This element introduces a more reasonable level of strategy as it allows the team organized to hide their leader in strategic places and continue to pounce upon the enemy repeatedly.

I go, I go back and kill her.
The interface is clean before you present and immediate, in the lower right will be the type of weapon equipped and how much ammunition we have in the charger while on the opposite side we find our health and our teammates. On the bottom of the screen at the center will present an overview diagram of the control points in our possession, while the top upgrades we are receiving from friends and how many dollars we have earned the killings are our score. Setting the third-person view is at the center of the screen always a round viewfinder to indicate the focus area that can be enlarged significantly by simply pressing the right mouse button and that will allow us to shoot with absolute precision even over long distances. The movements are controlled by the usual combination of keys W, A, S, D and the sprint will be assigned to the shift key. Shame about the lack of ability to bend that makes it effectively unusable most of shelters medium / low forcing the player to look for unlikely covers around columns and fences.

Infinite ammunition but little to destroy
Graphics Lead and Gold is clean and attractive. The graphics engine used is the same as Bionic Commando and performs its task in an exemplary, have been rare cases of slowing down and there are characters and settings seemed perfectly blended together. With the ability to have unlimited ammo but would have preferred to have even greater destructibility of the surrounding environment instead merely some explosion managed by scripted events such as barrels of dynamite. The animations are good and every time your character jumps from a great height you will see him perform in spectacular somersaults classic western film. Well made that even the sound department will accompany us with traditional melodies to duel at noon for the duration of our games without making us feel the atmosphere of dust and weeds rolling classical era.

Hardware
OS: XP / Vista / Windows 7
Processor: Dual-core (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or AMD Athlon X2 5200 + 2.6 GHz)
Memory: 1.5GB RAM
Hard Drive: 2.0 GB
Video Card: DirectX compatible 9.0c/Shader3.0, 512 MB VRAM (GeForce 7800 series or ATI Radeon X1900)
Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
DirectX ®: DirectX 9.0c

Conclusion
We are facing a good TPS, superior technical sector and certainly entertaining. Given the nature of digital products Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West shows to the public with a competitive price and quality at the same time a general rather than discrete, a factor that makes it appealing to all fans of the genre and also those who had wanted a game where you become good at presenting a short time and play sessions relatively short but intense. Although only four classes to choose from, variety is guaranteed by the six modes and teamwork promoted by the gold that each character can unleash. The appeal of old westerns, also certainly helps that the title without it would probably labeled as a mere clone of Team Fortress 2 but that this can carve out a niche in the world of his shooter.

After obtaining a good response from critics and audiences with its Tales of Monkey Island and Wallace & Gromit, Telltale Games continues to travel the road of adventure games by releasing the third series dedicated to the two policemen freelance strangest of all time: Sam & Max . Once again the full season was divided into five episodes will be released over the next five months, our two protagonists manage to make us wait with trepidation the succession of bets or waiting for the second act we have already forgotten them?

The future, the secret is all you
This first chapter begins with a vision of a not too distant future where the intergalactic criminal prisoners Skun’ka’pe did our two heroes and destroying the city of New York on board his ship. With the new psychic rabbit Max, the cunning dog Sam and the help of an alien brain kept in brine succeed in freeing the bars that held us prisoners and to sucked into a black hole directly to the Penal Zone evil gorillas. Once this incipit unsettling, especially for those who come into the world of Sam & Max for the first with this episode, the narrative returns to making us learn this with due calm the roles of several main characters and the new control system. Based mainly on a motion control through the joystick, users of this PC title will soon abandon the idea of moving the character through the uncomfortable relying solely using the mouse to the combination of WASD keys, which will be more practical but not without defects due Unfortunately a camera system that will often put the sticks between the wheels.
Exploring the first alleys our faithful friend rabbit comes into possession of a mysterious object that will completely change his life and adventure. The most important fact of this new series is the possibility of seeing the world through the eyes of Max and use his mental powers, obtained through the powerful toys of power to solve the puzzle. Programmers were thus able to enter the game a greater variety of puzzles and situations involving the use of rabbit and his mind rather than the need, as usually happens in such games, gather around the largest number of objects then to find the combination best suited for their absurdly resolution. Obviously some kind of situation is still present but, thanks to a good number of powers available immediately, the variety of play is guaranteed at least for the duration of the series. Max skills are the most diverse: with a special rubber will have the opportunity to take the form of whatever it sees in the picture or to teleport near the sources of communication through a mobile toy or even be able to see through a mask future actions of all that surrounds it, including objects. This ability so the player will observe the various difficulties that are ahead pareranno through a completely new point of view, forcing him to find the final solution from the results of its future actions and trying various missing pieces to make occur. Although the main beneficiary of all these innovations is Max, Sam will still be relegated to a marginal role and importance will be given decision-making during all phases of the movements of detective duo in dialogues and choices for the use of items collected.

Laugh out loud
The main purpose of a graphic adventure outside the box as it is to make players laugh, and Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse – Episode 1: The Penal Zone target is centered in full. Even without going to bring up the absurd situations that must be will created during the continuation of the story, the two detectives be able to rip more of a smile even through their hilarious dialogues. Irreverence and absolute tranquility with which Max debuted at times can not only arouse laughter even in the more serious players. Unfortunately the title was not translated into Italian and will be a must at least enable subtitles to be able to fully enjoy the barbs and jokes. The menu of the dialogue is presented as a circle with various options on the outside, a bit ‘as with Mass Effect, showing that the game is designed more for those with a controller in hand rather than mouse and keyboard. Each option will give rise to an exchange between the characters, all voiced well with their slang and dialect. In this case use the same voice actors of the old series has only brought benefits to the game that enjoys so absolute characterization of the protagonists. The only flaw in the sound department is sometimes found a slight asynchrony between speech and lip movements of the characters. Honorable Mention for the narrator who has a special dubbing.

What menu?
No we are not talking about crazy pizzas to go crazy watermelon in the protagonists but rather the simple and straightforward interface of the game. We will have available to us only three options: the first is represented by our notebook, Sam here will mark all the evidence relevant to the case, the description of the characters encountered and the summary of the history up to that point, the second in a cardboard box which deposit all our items and the third, a badge will allow us to take control of one of two detectives alternating between them. To move around the map game, in addition to the teleportation of Max, we use the legendary police car that came to our agents and now besieged by a huge amount of obsolete office equipment that have enacted their operations center and will help us in our investigations as long to bring new recruits to train.

Graphically rewarding adventure game
The word games, puzzle and a few well-scripted plot are not sufficient to produce a good game, even the technical part has to do its part. In this case we are dealing with a discrete product feature celebrities and models of good workmanship. As for the environments in this new chapter of those Telltale Games will not have tried too almost always reproducing the locations previously visited in the past and with little evidence with which to interact. Nevertheless, the office of Sam & Max adventure will be closed by early presage a change in direction for the next episodes. The engine, now with some years on his shoulders, was improved marginally affecting more than anything else on the management of lighting and special textures of some characters remain as always nice to look at with a peak of excellence when the mere composition of models polygon is to merge with the old art in 2D as in the case of some particularly inspired paintings.

Final Remarks
Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse – Episode 1: The Penal Zone is a great start for the third series of the two detectives were born from the pen of Steve Purcell. The game is suitable for both old fans and new players as references to earlier adventures of Sam & Max are only marginal and not going to affect the actual appreciation of the title and the laughter that dialogue and new characters can cause. The total duration of this episode settles around four hours, however, few but enough to fail the beginning of new adventure and will put the player to see how the story will continue. Unfortunately, a system of checks not excelled PC combined with a still camera to improve management does not allow to assign a rating higher than that new exhilarating start to the season of the police dog and rabbit chairman.

Once upon a time long ago, a game series called Heroes of Might and Magic. The player could choose between several of the fantasy genre stereotypes and concentrate for hours and hours creating a huge army theme. There were the forces of chaos, elves, orcs, dwarves, humans and many other creatures ready to do battle on a beautiful hexagonal grid cells, all waiting patiently for their turn.
After several games of the series, rather similar, the particular category of fantasy turn-based strategy can no longer innovate and seemed destined to end in oblivion. At least until a team of programmers in Russia, Katauri Interactive has decided to recover and reshape the genre to include elements of traditional role-playing games.
The first title from baked Katauri, King’s Bounty: The Legend, has proved a success with critics and public, as to lead to the development of a sequel, King’s Bounty: Armored Princess. Our heroes are able to repeat the success of its predecessor or continue on this street lined with hexagonal tiles was a mistake?

I have an armor, a sword and a miniskirt. Come on!
Armored in the coveted role of Princess Amelie, Princess of Endor and favorite pupil of Bill Gilbert, the protagonist of the Legend. The kingdom of the beautiful aristocrat is under attack by a giant Archfiend and the only way to save is to find the stalwart Bill, lost in the magical world of Teana.
Perhaps the plot will seem full of originality. You are absolutely right. Except you are not hardcore fans of anything have a fantasy, the story of Armored Princes not involve much. It is only there to justify the formation of a large army and hundreds of battles ahead.
It must be said however that Katauri has committed much more to investigate and characterize the game world compared to the first chapter. Teana has many islands to visit and even more characters and missions, all featuring tons of dialogue to read. Probably the most players give little importance to the narrative and focus on the battles, but the effort of the developers to make their world is more alive and appreciated throughout the game there funny dialogues and interesting events.

“Ok, now move my knights of 6 boxes. Your turn” “We could not make a game of cards?”
If you are veterans of Might and Magic, you will find yourself at ease with Armored Princess. The main difference between the two games lies in the choice of a single protagonist and a character growth system similar to that of the common RPG. When the game you can choose between three different classes: warrior, mage and paladin. Skills are divided into three categories of talent and need to be unlocked runes, obtainable level rising or simply found on the map. The choice of the class affects the number of runes of a certain type that Amelie gains per level, the amount of troops that can monitor and the color of our heroine.
The basic gameplay has not changed. The princess, armed with armor (little) and stubbornness (that much), wanders Teana mounted his horse and can buy soldiers and creatures in buildings scattered across the territory. The meetings with the opposing armies are not random. The enemies of varying difficulty, roam the islands and can be addressed or avoided with a little ‘ability to maneuver.
Thanks to a greater care in planning the game, now around opponents is simpler than the Legend. Amelie it locks almost never in the elements of the landscape, which Sir Gilbert happened all too often.
Another interesting addition are the trophies. Normally there are just targets which will increase the longevity of the game for lovers of challenges, but in this case completely allow us to obtain attractive bonus permanent.
Once started a fight armies are deployed on the typical hexagonal grid cells, ready to do battle. The variety of available troops is one of the strengths of the title, each unit has specific skills and there is a great way to build your army, although certain powers are particularly useful to facilitate the progression from its most formidable.
The difficulty of the game, in fact, is quite high. The Legend was very demanding, and almost frustrating at times, though we hope that his followers would solve this problem, you will find yourself in a fit of fury in no time at all. The adventure of the Princess is in no way easier than the original, even some bosses and enemies are even worse. If you do not like playing hard faced Armored Princess difficulty easy, select that option is no shame in this game.
Fortunately, the protagonist from her a couple of aces up its sleeve that facilitate not just the battles if used sensibly: the magic and the baby dragon. Amelie at the beginning of the adventure is entrusted with a dragon capable of inflicting great damage on opponents or building block walls. Besides the curious puppy winged, the protagonist can use different spells, which are also affordable as the troops or simply traced the form of scrolls on the map. Use magic dragon and efficiently is often crucial to winning a battle with the fewest possible losses, extremely important to advance in the campaign.
The reasoning is simple, the troops on sale in different continents are limited. Only a few buildings, which also found only towards the end of adventure, have powerful troops in unlimited number. If you lose too much money for a certain type, cover your vendor confidence may end at which point you would have to change the structure of your army with another type of deployment (at least until you find another vendor as provided). This acquisition system of troops brings the player to carefully calculate every single move during battles, but also a weak point in the game. You have to constantly go on islands previously visited, just to replenish a particular type of unit. The process is very tedious, especially when considering the need to avoid the considerable number of enemies your level much higher than running around the maps.
The problem of trading troops fades considerably when Amelie comes into possession of a winged horse that facilitates the exploration of the islands, but still lost a lot of time to wander in search of the shop just mercenaries.

No matter how many polygons are composed. A Archfiend always her beautiful figure
Armored Princess is not it nice to see more strategic in recent years. The graphics engine is a bit ‘is dated and difficult to impress someone. This does not mean that his work is good: everything moves very smoothly and locations of the islands are extremely varied, imaginative and colorful. Even models of the troops, while not super detailed, they are well characterized. Dragons and armored units in particular.
Even the sound stood in the middle. The sound effects are not of great quality and the dialogues are not spoken, but the melodies in the background of various islands are very evocative.

Hardware
Minimum
-Processor 2.6 GHz
-Video card: 128 MB – Nvidia GeForce 6600GT or equivalent ATI
-1 GB of memory
-Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP / Vista

Final Remarks
Armored Princess is not a game suitable for everyone. The nostalgia of Might and Magic strategy lovers will appreciate the complexity of the game and the high difficulty of the fighting. More casual players might hate it. The game is cheap and offers a lengthy single player campaign lasts about 30 hours. If the first category do not miss it and, while you’re, Legend also recovered. It is worth it.

Very often the development team of indie game forcing their creativity (also due to limited availability of resources, unlike large software company) in game development, so that they are unconventional and original, sometimes also with excellent results. Doing so may get noticed by big producers and enter the “system”, perhaps gaining, while good acclaim from gamers and critics. Plain Sight is just one of these cases, let’s discover together why.

Bella Vista
The most classic video games have so used the “average player” trying to eliminate the opponent through a system of play almost always one-way, that when you are facing products where one of the main features is to blow up themselves, just as happens in Plain Sight, they are too easily labeled as original or innovative. Not necessarily for its own merits, but because the market, as we know, follows certain trends for mere economic facts. So in a nutshell, this new multiplayer title, sold exclusively (for now) the digital version, the player personifies a robot ninja who must destroy the robot controlled by your opponents to steal their precious energy. Storing this energy the robot becomes stronger, bright and big. So far nothing special, but the energy the player it does little or nothing, in fact, what really matters are the points, and is essential for obtaining blow your beloved alter ego metal before they destroy the others, stealing energy accumulated up to that point. So a game system “kamikaze”, original and funny even though in the long run affected by the poverty of elements. The combat is based on a points system that once matched the target or better, the robot opponent, turns red, and with the click of the mouse, your ninja tin will delight in fanning the ninja jump his sword on the poor robot opponent. Obviously come across tough opponents, so it will be difficult to destroy and steal their precious contents energetic, because there are several ways to manage to avoid an attack, how to move quickly, or using some sort of fence. Every time I blow up before rebirth, you can get upgrades for your robot, which can be acquired through experience points earned during the game. These power ups are divided into three categories: those that relate to physical abilities, such as running and jumping, those related to the defensive capabilities, such as the aforementioned defensive shield, or a red exclamation mark that appears on his head when the robot is the target of an opponent. Finally, we have the ability to attack, including the possibility of an explosion faster. This power-ups can be very useful, given that blow themselves up in the conflagration involving adversaries increases the score significantly. The locations where the battles take place are very abstract and almost no gravitational force, so you can make strides in moving from one area to another map. But opponents will never be hard to find, because each robot leaves behind a trail of light colored, which constantly shows its position, increasing the feeling of dynamism and continuous movement. Unfortunately, all this coming and going with a lot of luminescent colors can give a little ‘head. (Not recommended strongly to those who suffer from migraine). Ultimately the gameplay Plain Sight is very dynamic and fun, but in the long run could bore because of its inherent poverty, which is confined almost exclusively to action “shredder-destroy self-destructs.”

There once was a robot … or not suicide
In Plain Sight there is no background and enter immediately into the action. Once logged in, you can decide if opponents managed to train with the CPU in the training mode, or try to jump into the fray against opponents in the flesh. The gameplay modes are five and three of these are inspired by the classic first person shooter, or, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. The other two modes are quite original: it has Lighten Up, where he wins who gets the biggest explosion in a particular area of the map illuminated, while the other is BotZilla, where the player can play as a giant robot dressed as Godzilla or do the flea and try to delete it. These game modes turn out to be quite original and a little break ‘the monotony of the gameplay. The maps available are 13 and there is the possibility to play up to 20 players simultaneously. The net code was not the best, but it is always possible to play fairly. From graphical point of view the work of Beatnik Games is certainly not scream to the miracle, but the bright colors and accompanied by appealing those cute little robot you are watching. Obviously, given the context, there is no need to dwell too much on this aspect. The same argument is made regarding the audio industry, which is still more than enough.

Hardware
Video Game Review PLAIN SIGHT written SIDMARKO
Final Remarks
Plain Sight is definitely a different title, but his originality has allowed him to fully convince. If at first you damn dynamic, and fun for everyone in the long run its simplicity and poverty of gameplay make damn boring. Considering the budget price and originality of the product, we are still faced with a title recommended for those wishing to spend a few hours of healthy fun, but nothing more. The gameplay in Plain Sight deserved a wider range of items to bring recreational experience richer.

Milestone, the great little Italian company in the world of video games. Known for its excellent racing games on personal computers (the more experienced will remember the legendary Screamer 2, year of grace 1996), the software house of ours in recent years has begun to churn out its products featured in various console formats, ranging from Xbox 360 and PS3 until you get to PSP. So, having vented from the dreams of gamers with the centaur SBK series, Milestone attempt to compete in the Racing genre of simulation, publishing console also V8 Superstars Series: based on official license provided by the homonymous circus on wheels The very Italian Superstars Championship, a sort of variant of the famous championship class coaches. The competition is exceptionally fierce (Forza Motorsport 3 and the upcoming Gran Turismo 5 in particular), can the engines developed for this V8 Superstars Next Challenge of our local software houses do not stay with the wet dust?

Italian Pride
As mentioned earlier, V8 Superstars Next Challenge we are dealing with the fascinating world of Gran Turismo, or that category of motor racing in which instead of a dream car or supercar you can admire the outrageous price of the simplest (but also expensive) is suitably modified sedans under the mechanical aspect, both that of the livery. Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Maserati, these are some names of car manufacturers in the different teams will battle during the whole championship Superstars and the steering wheel which we find, in addition to nearly unknown field of riders, some old glory Formula One (Gianni Morbidelli) or former athletes with high speed ball as the former downhill champion Christian Ghedina. The battleground will be that of ten famous racetracks, including stand Imola, Monza and Mugello. Speaking purely playful side instead of the product, V8 Superstars is the classic title-oriented side of simulation racing game, but without going into detail level (and frustration) of complex simulators on PCs. The road taken by Milestone is therefore that the game can satisfy a bit ‘all the players through a series of parameters (such as ABS, electronic traction and braking) to make more or less realistic driving model our fireball. The natural turn to the simulation branch of the game but it is easily derived from all the different adjustments can be developed in the garage of the team: suspensions, inclination of the wings, even the possibility to compare the performance of the means by telemetry. The general feeling was, however, to be confronted with the classic hybrid drive system, fortunately easy apprehension and very fluid. The handling of the media has not in fact never proved frustrating due to a more prompt and accurate response to our requests, but did not prove very rewarding in terms of spectacular maneuvers.

Space to Supercampione!
In these circumstances, there was amazed to see how the canonical once penetrated deep into the menu of the game: fast race, race weekend, league superstars and licenses for the single player of this V8 Superstars. Starting with that voice starting to surface flaws and shortcomings of the first title Milestone fact, unlike many other driving games in V8 Superstars licenses will be useful only to become familiar with the guidance system, without therefore serve as a key to open or how many championships related to their degree of experience gained in the various tests (the only bonus you get will only be two paths initially blocked), so in fact our efforts. Even going to the championship, theoretically true heart of the title, the impressions received by the first approach to the game are not changed: V8 Superstars fact gave us the idea of a game “born old,” a title that reflects rather faithfully to the canons of racing simulation / arcade game seen years ago, as the beautiful Toca Touring Car Racing, Codemasters. The lack of variety, desire to improve and extra rewarding after winning a race or a championship are therefore the main flaw of the game, in which just an afternoon game to see virtually everything, virtually eliminating the replay value of the title. No innovative or even interesting in the product key online, with multiplayer for up to 16 players and the chance to try out single race or championship, only to be a mere filling without shame or particular praise.

Steaming plates
The situation unfortunately is not even lifts technical aspects of V8 Superstars Next Challenge. Graphically, the game manages to achieve a Milestone-fetched enough to look through all things clean and orderly, in which discrete livery car stand out above the general paucity of tracks, accomplice the unjustified absence of a number of elements boundary, will eventually resemble each other, making it dull and repetitive play sessions. Decidedly understated is the realization of the various visible through the cockpit view from inside, and the effects of deformation and progressive deterioration of the body, on which we see only a slight accumulation of dust and a windscreen cracked and ugly undertone but the particle effects (including include the implementation of mild cloud of water caused by passing cars in the wet), but no problem in terms of frame rate, which settles on 30 frames per second without suffering drops or shots. Gossamer the audio industry, if during the presentation and listen to some songs in-game menus rock / metal rather catchy, once you get off the track we “delight” our ears only with the various effects of race like the roar of the engine (more like to a buzz that much) or the screech of tires to a stop risky.

Final Remarks
Next V8 Superstars Challenge is unfortunately a disappointing game from different points of view. Milestone avendoci even made a tangible effort failed in order to propose a competitive product on the market including console, end up being literally crushed by the other sacred cows present on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. With a technical and passable gameplay altogether acceptable V8 Superstars Next Challenge sins like its predecessor from the standpoint of the variety and inventiveness, suggesting a stunted career mode and very few varieties from the point of view is that the trail types of competition, these legacies of that type of racing game in vogue a decade ago.

About a year ago was published in Dawn of War 2 strategy game in real time based on violent futuristic universe of Warhammer 40,000. Given the success of sales achieved by the title, Relic Entertainment is proposing its first expansion that brings a new playable race in multiplayer, the rest of the story told in the singleplayer campaign and slight modifications to the system of play.

Nothing can hide the fury of the Emperor
We had left our team of space marines struggling with an infestation of Tyranids, from which we emerged as winners on the planet Aurelia. After one year, however, a new enemy looms over the industry and malevolent energies that are unleashed by the warp do not bode well. At the beginning of the adventure we can import characters from an existing campaign or alternatively start playing with a battalion equipped with the required level 18 to pass the first stage of the game, during the first two missions, in addition, there will be offered the opportunities for new talent points. In addition to the six units we carry the original title, continuing the story will add to our team a marine librarian with powerful psionic abilities can overwhelm entire host of enemies and heal allies. However, this hero is not the only new features, it introduces a new feature in the screen play of characters called corruption. Throughout the campaign, the forces of chaos try to corrupt the minds of our soldiers trying to get them to the other side of the fence and will stand to us to decide whether to follow the emperor making pure and righteous acts or fall into temptation equipping paraphernalia soaked demonic powers and ignoring the secondary objectives that we will be gradually offered during any missions. The level of corruption so obtained will affect both our powers, unlocking new units for each, and the plot, going to improve over the linearity of the missions that weakens a bit ‘gaming experience in the original Dawn of War 2. The gameplay remains virtually unchanged, however, we can decide which teams lead in battle of the seven available to us even if the game to force us to choose one in particular unless you want to go see his level of corruption, which could even lead to mutiny. After each encounter with the points accumulated experience we can enhance the features of our soldiers in mind that the cap was raised to level 30, which translates into twenty additional feature points capable of making our sea of real machines war. The fighting and the covers have not undergone any change and reappear as such for past as well as the difficulty level remained unchanged, requiring players to play the most demanding mode Primarch to find a suitable challenge.
The more than ten hours needed to complete the singleplayer campaign, divided by a score of missions, all players will leave satisfied that you will be challenged to create, thanks to the characteristics of corruption, the possibility of providing alternative endings so ‘also a good replayability. Have also been added, compared to the usual missions of extermination and defending control points, including time and escort missions that bring a little ‘variety than the previous year, all similar and that is simply reduced to forward until the end level bosses to kill him.

Serve the Emperor today, tomorrow might be dead
With this expansion the part online is definitely one that has benefited more in terms of new features, primarily thanks to the arrival of chaos as a playable race in multiplayer matches.
True antithesis of the Space Marine warriors devoted to these dark arts will rely demons of Nurgle and Khorne to overwhelm the enemy in battle, along with the other factions also have their main three heroes to choose from: the leader of chaos warrior who specializes in melee, the sample of the plague that draws strength from the foul demons to heal friendly units nearby and render ineffective bullets opponents, and the wizard of chaos, with powerful spells to attack and capable of generating towers with which treat their own troops. To counter the arrival of the demons in all other races have been assigned new units, one for Space Marines, Orks and Eldar, and two for the voracious Tyranids. As was the case with its predecessor, however, even in Chaos Rising multiplayer games seem to belong to a different product but the same high quality. The small-scale battles and management-style RPG’s main campaign give way to the classics of RTS where resource management and the creation of an army which swarms. The expansion brings with it seven new maps and three new modes, although the only one still remains valid for ranked matches that of the control points. Playing the games will be customized so you can try in a frantic fun as six players to battle all against all or divided into three teams of two, with the aim to accumulate 1000 points before the other, or you can choose to play with the annihilation that will come out the winner only after all other contenders have been eliminated from the map. As a last option for multiplayer was added via a free patch the last resistance option play in which three lonely heroes must try to survive as long as possible to twenty increasingly difficult waves of enemies and to survive until the end. In this mode, already present in other types of games, you can choose your sample of the five available (one for each race) and it will level up with more powerful equipment and skills making each element perfectly diversified and unique compared to other .

Swear allegiance to the dark
Relic Entertainment in association with the publication of this title, has released a patch on the game server that provides free to all holders of Dawn of War 2 many of the content in this expansion to balance the multiplayer matches. For this reason it seems a must clearly describe what you have more purchasing this product.
Throughout the entire single player campaign is to preserve all of the holders of Rising Chaos faction as well as the use of chaos in online games. All extra units for the old factions, the additional modes and new maps can be used but also from those without the expansion. Although the ultimate strength will be enjoyed by all players, which will, however, the choice of heroes available limited to that of the first three races old, unlike those who have taken the new title will also be used as the wizard of chaos and the tyrant of ‘hive.

Final Remarks
Relic offers the most classical expansions. A new playable race along with a multiplayer mode for-all, 20 new missions for single player campaign with a new unit and two new heroes and new skills available for the last stand mode. A product that can not fail to fans of Dawn of War 2 and even those who liked the original game since being added all the essentials without undercutting so shocking to affect the gameplay. The multiplayer is balanced to perfection thanks to the introduction of new units for free to all. Would we have liked a couple of additional maps for the ultimate strength and some movie in computer graphics seen in the high quality of the initial video. Rising Chaos is therefore a high quality product with potential expansions for each race and still missing from the technical content made even brighter by the new ultra settings included with the latest patches.
